Apple Discounts Beats EP, urBeats, and Beats Pill+ Products

Monday, July 31st, 2017

Apple this week launched a new limited time discount on its Beats EP headphones, Beats Pill+ speaker, and urBeats earphones, which are all on sale for approximately $20 to $30 off.

The Beats EP On-Ear Headphones are available for $99, down from the original price of $129.95. All colors are available at the discounted price, including red, white, black, and blue. The Beats EP are Apples most affordable on-ear headphones, coming in at a lower cost than the Solo3 models.

The Beats Pill+ Portable Speaker is available for $199, down from $229.95. All colors are discounted, including white, black, and red.

Both the Beats Pill+ and the Beats EP On-Ear Headphones were discounted by a similar amount in late 2016 and early 2017, but Apple has not recently offered a sale on the urBeats. With the promotion, the earphones are priced at $79 instead of $99.95. All colors available from the Apple Store are included in the sale: silver, gold, space gray, rose gold, black, and ultra violet.

Apple's prices are a decent deal, but similar and occasionally bigger discounts can often be found from retailers like Amazon and Best Buy during routine sales.

According to the promotion details, Apple's sale will last from today until August 26, 2017 at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Apple does not say how long the discounts on its Beats products will last, so customers hoping to get a deal on a speaker or a set of headphones should purchase right away. Discounts are also available in Apple's retail stores.

Apple Releases ‘Beats Pill+’ App for Controlling Beats Pill+ Speaker on iOS and Android

Thursday, October 29th, 2015

Apple today debuted a new Beats Pill+ app for both iOS and Android users, providing a way for those who own the new Beats Pill+ speakers to control the speakers, check power levels, download software updates, adjust sound levels, and link multiple speakers together for different effects. There are three modes in the app, listed below.

DJ - Grab a friend and control the music from two Bluetooth(R) sources.

Amplify - Add a second Beats Pill+ into the mix and simultaneously play from both for a sound that's twice as full.

Stereo - Use two Beats Pill+ speakers as left and right output for an even more dynamic sound experience.
Beats Pill+ marks the first time Apple has released an app on both the iOS and Android platforms simultaneously, and it's the second Android app that Apple has debuted after introducing the Move to iOS app earlier this year. Apple plans to introduce additional Android apps in the future, including an Apple Music app.

The new Beats Pill+ app comes just over three weeks after Apple debuted its new Beats Pill+ speakers. The Beats Pill+ is a wireless Bluetooth speaker that's the first Apple has introduced since purchasing the Beats brand in May of 2014. Priced at $229, the speaker is now available in black or white from the Apple Online Store.
